Dave Allen is the underdog in the betting as he prepares to take on Croatian Filip Hrgovic in his hometown of Doncaster this evening.
The White Rhino comes into the fight in a strong shape physically and he enjoyed a first round win against Karim Berredjem earlier this year.
Allen lost to Arslanbek Makhmudov on points in October 2025 but his admirable display has earned him another big fight opportunity.
A win against Hrgovic would open a number of doors for the popular 34-year-old but this represents his toughest test to date.
Allen is priced up at 9/2 to win the fight and 9/1 to win by knockout, technical knockout or disqualification.
(Odds will display when the market is available).
While Allen has suffered defeat on eight occasions during his 35-fight career, his opponent Hrgovic has only been beaten once.
That loss came when he was stopped by Daniel Dubois in Riyadh back in June 2024 and it is a defeat that has aged well given Dubois' recent achievements.
Victories over Joe Joyce and David Adeleye have put Hrgovic back on the map but he has been inactive since the win over Adeleye last August.
Hrgovic will be eyeing up world title opportunities and he is a strong favourite at 1/8 to beat Allen.
The Croatian is also odds-on to win inside the distance, while a Hrgovic points victory is available at 8/5.
