The European Darts Trophy is back on the PDC's ProTour for 2025, after a seven-year hiatus, and will see a field of 48 arrowsmiths descending on the Lokhalle in Gottingen, Germany.
The European Darts Trophy is the second event of the 14 scheduled on the PDC European Tour this season and will boast a prize pool of £175,000.
The last time the event was played, Michael van Gerwen defeated James Wade 8-3 in the final in 2018.
The 2025 European Darts Trophy begins on Friday 21st March and runs through until Sunday 23rd March, 2025.
All three days of the 2025 European Darts Trophy are set to follow the PDC's regular schedule format, with afternoon sessions beginning at 12:00 (GMT) and the evening sessions getting underway at 18:00 (GMT).
The Lokhalle is situated in the German town of Gottingen in Lower Saxony. The venue dates back to the 1920s, but has existed in its current modern state since 1998.
The multi-purpose hall can accommodate as many as 7500 people standing, though that capacity is reduced for darts, with seating in place.
The Lokhalle is directly adjacent to Gottingen's ICE railway station and just a few minutes' walk from the pedestrian precinct.
The venue has hosted major basketball events, concerts, cultural events and two previous editions of the European Darts Trophy.
The 48-player event will see 16 seeded players starting in round two, while the 16 qualifiers from the one-year PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit ranking enter in the first round and face off against various qualifiers.
World champion Luke Littler did not register for this event.

Friday will see eight first-round matches played per session in the afternoon and evening, with Saturday following the same format to complete the 16 second-round matches.
The third round takes place during the Sunday afternoon session, before the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final take centre stage in the Sunday evening session.

The format is straight knockout, with all matches up to and including the quarter-finals being best-of-11 legs. The semi-finals are best-of-13 legs and the final is a race to eight legs.
The tournament will feature a total prize fund of £175,000 with the winner set to collect £30,000 of that pot.
