Kevin Doets is improving all the time and his superb victory over Michael van Gerwen came as no real surprise.
As we know, Krzysztof Ratajski is a solid player but I expect the longer best of 19 legs format to suit Doets and he should just about come out on top.
Martin Schindler to beat Jermaine Wattimena (1/1)
Martin Schindler played a great final leg in his dramatic victory over Wessel Nijman and he can use the home crowd to his advantage here.
Jermaine Wattimena is a very consistent player now and will cause Schindler problems, but I really feel the German support can carry Schindler over the line in this second round clash.
Luke Littler to beat Nathan Aspinall (1/6)
After beating William O'Connor 6-3 in his tournament opener, world champion Luke Littler will be far more relaxed now we are playing over a longer format.
Nathan Aspinall averaged 92.92 in his opening victory over Cristo Reyes and he will need to up his scoring dramatically to challenge the Nuke.
It promises to be another thrilling encounter between these two top players but Littler should take another step towards adding a title to his already glittering CV.
Jonny Clayton to beat Josh Rock (4/6)
After winning his first ranking title of the year by beating Luke Humphries in the Swiss Darts Trophy final, Jonny Clayton continued that impressive form in his Dortmund opener.
Josh Rock produced some terrific darts in his 6-1 win against Chris Dobey and he will need to get off to a good start if he to have a chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
This is a match-up between two excellent players and I expect the match to go deep, with Clayton continuing his winning streak.
