Fabio Wardley has triggered his Daniel Dubois rematch clause, paving the way for the pair to lock-horns for world championship gold for a second time later this year.
Dubois produced a sensational performance to dethrone the former WBO titlist Wardley, getting up off the canvas twice to secure a sensational 11th round stoppage victory.
Now, it's been confirmed that the British boxing behemoths will go to war once more, with a likely Autumn date expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2 is expected to take place later this year, with an Autumn date expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
The nature of Wardley's loss means the second fight is likely to have to wait at least four months, with September and October both being mooted.
The first fight between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley was staged at the Co-op Live in Manchester, attracting a record indoor attendance in the UK for a boxing bout in excess of 18,000.
It's understood the same venue hopes to host the rematch, although larger outdoor venues could be in the running given the pull of the heavyweight world title affair.
It's expected that Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley will be live-streamed on DAZN, with promotional organisation Queensberry holding an exclusive long-term broadcasting agreement with them.

"All parties will now work towards a rematch of their fight of the year contender for later in 2026."
