India begin a five-week tour to New Zealand with the first of five T20 Internationals in Christchurch on Thursday.
The two sides began the year with a meeting in the final of the T20 World Cup, which India won by 96 runs in front of more than 85,000 expectant fans at the cavernous Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
With its capacity of about 18,000, the Hagley Oval is far quainter and will host the first two 20-over clashes and the second Test between the pair at the end of November.

Best Bet: New Zealand to win @ 13/10
India are the undisputed top dogs in T20 cricket, having won the last two 20-over World Cups.
The behemoth that is the Indian Premier League has undoubtedly contributed to the Indians' increasing dominance in the shortest format, but their last major series away from home showed some chinks in their armour.
India lost 2-0 to Ireland, the first time they had been beaten by the Irish in any format, and that was quickly followed by a 4-0 hiding at the hands of England, who thoroughly outplayed the world champions in early July.
Incredibly, India have already played 35 T20s in 2026 and will play eight more - five in New Zealand and three at home to Sri Lanka - before the year is out.
It's been less than a week since rain curtailed the final games of a five-match home series with the West Indies, and their arduous schedule could catch up with them against the Black Caps.
The absence of mainstays Hardik Pandya and the world's best all-format bowler Jasprit Bumrah only adds to the belief that India could be vulnerable.
New Zealand definitely have the quality within their ranks to take advantage and a seam attack which thrives in home conditions could help them strike first in Christchurch.
Alternative Bet: Devon Conway top New Zealand batter @ 11/4
An injury to regular number three Rachin Ravindra may mean Devon Conway comes in at first drop for New Zealand.
The left-hander can blow hot and cold but his record of two centuries and 58 fifties in 248 T20s for the Black Caps shows his class.
India's bowlers know only too well the destruction Conway can cause from his time with the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL - he averages 43.20 in 29 matches in the world's premier franchise league with 11 fifties.
The Hagley Oval has also been a happy hunting ground for Conway, who has scored 332 runs including three half-centuries in six T20Is.
India have carried most nations before them in T20 cricket over the last few years, but their punishing schedule may catch up with them in New Zealand.
Thursday's match will be the Indians' 36th in the shortest format this year and they will be without a couple of their most important players, Bumrah and Pandya.
Bumrah's absence is an obvious blow and Conway, who has a brilliant record in T20s at the Hagley Oval, could be one of the New Zealand batters to take advantage.
Conway has scored 99 not out, 36, 70 not out, 49 not out, 64 and 14 in six T20s at the Christchurch venue and can contribute at least 20 runs on Thursday.
Finish a three-leg Bet Builder with a bet on Tilak Varma to also surpass that mark.
The hero of India's Asia Cup final success last month, Varma has weighed in with knocks of 51 not out, 44 not out, 28, 43 and seven in his last five T20 innings.
