The Wankhede Stadium is the venue for one of Sunday’s two IPL fixtures, as the Mumbai Indians play host to the Rajasthan Royals.
Many expected Mumbai to be challenging for the title, but Mahela Jayawardene’s men have struggled and find themselves ninth of 10 teams.
The Royals though go into this clash currently sat in fourth, the last eliminator spot, and know a victory will see them cement their place in the top four.
The two teams have been evenly matched during the IPL years, with Mumbai collecting 16 wins and Rajasthan claiming 15 victories.

Kumar Sangakkara’s squad had lost three games in a row prior to this week’s victory over Lucknow Super Giants and that win should give them a lift.
In contrast, the Mumbai Indians have won just four of their 13 matches this season and head into Sunday’s clash off the back of a four-wicket defeat to the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Rajasthan were set a big total to chase on Tuesday and having lost three in a row prior to that match, they could have easily slipped up again.
After Lucknow made 220-5, the Royals made light work of the chase to reach 225-3 with five balls to spare and keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive.
All of the top three made 40+ runs in that successful chase, with opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashing 10 sixes in his innings.
It’s also worth noting that Rajasthan won the reverse fixture in Guwahati back in early April, with the Royals winning a rain-affected match by 27 runs.
Alternative Bet - Dhruv Jurel 30+ Runs @ 6/5
Wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel has been one of the shining stars for Rajasthan this season, in what is his fourth season with the franchise.
The 25-year-old is averaging 38.18 to this point and has 420 runs to his name - his biggest total in four IPL campaigns.
Jurel sits inside the top 10 for the ‘Most Fifties’ in 2026, with five half-centuries which includes an unbeaten 53 against the Super Giants on Tuesday.
The India international - who has smashed 38 fours and 19 sixes in this year’s tournament - also fired 53 runs in the defeat to the Delhi Capitals last weekend.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is just outside the top 20 players in the race to win the Orange Cap, with an average of 33.64 in 13 IPL matches.
The three-format international hit 43 off 23 deliveries on Tuesday and as a Mumbai player at first-class level, will feel he can build on that knock at his other ‘home ground’.
Only Travis Head has a better bowling average than Mumbai’s Corbin Bosch in this year’s IPL, with the South African having taken 11 wickets in just five matches.
The all-rounder has best figures of 4-26 and took three scalps, including Ajinkya Rahane, in this week’s defeat to KKR.
Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, two left-handers, put on an opening partnership of 75 in the win over the Super Giants.
Another solid start on Sunday could be crucial to Rajasthan’s hopes of another key victory.

With nothing on the line for the hosts, Mumbai could make changes and give some of their fringe players the chance to shine.
