Cricket is set to be reintroduced to the Olympics for the first time since the 1900 Olympic games.
After being given IOC approval, the 2028 LA Summer Olympics will feature cricket for the first time in over 125 years.
The cricket format which will feature at the games in LA will be T20, due to the Olympics lending itself to shorter versions of each sport.
The Cricket at the 2028 Olympic games will take place between 12th July and 29th July 2028.
The medal matches will be held on 20th July for the women and 29th July for the men.
Most matchdays will contain two matches, the first one commencing at 9am and the second at 6:30pm local time.
Six teams per gender will compete in T20 Cricket at the 2028 Summer Olympics, with teams being allocated 15 squad spaces.
The teams and qualification process is yet to be confirmed.
All T20 cricket matches at the 2028 Summer Olympics will be held at the Pomona Fairplex which is about 50km from downtown Los Angeles.
The full format will be announced in due course, however we do know that six teams will compete in each gender for medals, culminating in a showpiece final.
The Olympics has hosted Cricket just once, in 1900, before being cancelled in 1904 due to a lack of entries.
In the 1900 games, only Great Britain and France competed, with Great Britain winning by 158 runs.
The French side was seen as a "mixed side" having been made up mostly of expats whereas Great Britain was not nationally selected and only contained players from Devon and Somerset Wanderers Cricket Club.
