Check out Adam Catterall's latest tips and predictions for the bantamweight rematch between Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista at UFC 329 on Saturday night.
Cory Sandhagen by Decision or Technical Decision - 17/10
More than seven years have passed since Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista first met inside the Octagon.
In 2019 the pair met in a battle of bantamweight prospects, with the fight marking Bautista's UFC debut as he stepped in to replace the injured John Lineker in January 2019.
After a competitive opening, Sandhagen took control of the fight with a huge flying knee that dropped Bautista, before locking in an armbar to secure the submission win in the opening round.
Since then both fighters have established themselves as two of the very best in the world at 135lbs, and MMA expert Adam Catterall claims it will be again be Sandhagen that prevails when they face off in Las Vegas this weekend.
"In their first fight you may remember that Cory Sandhagen finished Mario Bautista via armbar in the first round," Catterall said on bet365 Cageside. "I don't think it's going to be like that this time around.
"Mario Bautista is absolutely a more well-rounded mixed martial artist, and off the back of the title fight defeat we don't know what version of Sandhagen we're going to get.
"I think it'll be a cautious fight this, cagey. Cory will want to just just get the victory.
"Mario is going to run at him which could lend to a really interesting watch, but I am favouring Cory Sandhagen to keep it nice and long, maybe land some serious significant strikes at the back end of the fight but I think he's going to come through on points.
"That's my tip; Sandhagen by decision."
