Constitution Hill pitches up in Milan where he will contest the Group 2 Gran Premio del Jockey Club.
A one-time superstar of the National Hunt game, the Nicky Henderson-trained nine-year-old won his first 10 races under rules, before jumping issues saw him connections change tack and opt for a new challenge on the Flat.
Sunday's Group 2 is the highest level he has competed at in this sphere.
Victorious on his first two starts on the level, Henderson decided to give his stable star a break before returning for an Autumn campaign.
Although he surrendered his unbeaten record on the Flat on reappearance in the September Stakes, his fourth-placed finish behind Pride Of Arras, Gethin and Warrant Holder was likely a career best and saw him earn a new best RPR on 109 for his Flat performances.
He did travel really nicely into the contest and looked as if he may challenge before his run flattened out. Given he was off the track for 164 days before that, there is a decent chance that he could improve for that effort and step up even further on that form.
(Odds will display when market is available)
Many of the leading contenders will follow Constitution Hill over from Britain, none more standout than William Haggas' Dubai Honour. With trips to Hong Kong, Germany, France, Australia and Dubai, he is very comfortable with travel and is still showing top class form. The eight-year-old finished runner-up to Goliath in the 64th Preis von Europa last time out and will relish every inch of the mile-and-a-half trip here.
Group 1 winner Silawi is also in opposition for trainer Hamad Al Jehani and the all-conquering Wathnan Racing team. He took out the Canadian International just over a year ago and, given that was his sole effort at 12 furlongs, there could be even more to come.
George Scott is very much a trainer on the rise, finishing runner-up in the Arc with Bay City Roller and winning the Prix du Cadran with Caballo De Mar at the beginning of the month. His yard has received heavy backing from owners Victorious Forever in recent years and they are represented by Phantom Flight this weekend. He will have to bounce back from a below-par effort at Royal Ascot earlier this summer, however, he has won off similarly long breaks in the past.
