Sunderland return to Europa League action when making the trip to Portugal to face Torreense in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Black Cats have endured a difficult start to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, and their woes were extended when falling to a 2-0 defeat against Brighton at the Stadium of Light last time out.
Sunderland were victorious in their only Europa League game this term however, overcoming AZ Alkmaar in narrow 1-0 fashion via a penalty from Enzo Le Fee.
With the Europa League debutants looking to make it two from two at the Estadio Dr. Magalhaes Pessoa, Regis Le Bris has named his side for this evening.
Le Bris has made seven changes to the Sunderland side that fell short against Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
Omar Alderete will partner Luke O'Nien in the centre of defence, while Dayann Methalie comes in at left-back.
There is a place in midfield for Jules Ahoka and Chris Rigg, with Malick Fofana and Timur Tutyerov also earning starts further forward.
