Inter Miami have reportedly concluded a deal to sign Brazil international Casemiro.
The Manchester United midfielder announced that he would leave Old Trafford in January of this year, following a mutual decision not to renew his contract.
At the time, it was not decided where Casemiro would go next, however, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that he is close to joining MLS side Inter Miami, where he will link up with former El Clasico rivals Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
"Inter Miami complete deal to sign Casemiro as new midfielder, here we go," Romano posted on X.
"Casemiro wants to play with Messi. Future in MLS."
Often criticised early on during his time with United, the 34-year-old has performed well this season, winning over the Old Trafford faithful, with some demonstrating their appreciation by chanting "One more year, Casemiro", during United's 3-1 victory over Aston Villa earlier this year.
His contributions this season, nine goals and two assists in 33 Premier League starts, have played an invaluable part in United's surge up the table under Michael Carrick.
However, Carrick will be without Casemiro when club football restarts following this summer's World Cup.
The former Real Madrid and Porto midfielder is currently part of Carlo Ancelotti's 26-man squad in North America as Selecao aim to win a record-extending sixth time.
