British lightweight sensation Caroline Dubois made a successful defence of her WBC lightweight women's world title on the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Londoner, who is the younger sister of former heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois, eased to comprehensive unanimous decision victory over the game and rugged Italian Camilla Panatta.
The 24-year-old was awarded 99-90 successes on all three of the ringside judges' scorecards, thus extending her unbeaten record to 13 fights with the only blip on her book being a shock draw with the experienced Jessica Camara in January.
Dubois has undoubtedly learned from that disappointing night in Sheffield however, and looked far more polished as she produced a faultless performance in Miami to edge herself closer towards a future unification showdown.
Speculation has been rife over the past couple of weeks that a clash with former undisputed super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner - who also fought on the same MVP bill this weekend - could be on the horizon.
However, whilst the Briton admitted that the once beaten American is firmly on her radar, she was quick to confirm post-fight that there are other avenues to pursue first.
"Not next (when asked whether that would be their next fight), but definitely down the line," Dubois said.
"I feel like we are still a little bit away from each other; not in terms of quality but more so in terms of growth and where we are at in our careers.
"In the future though, absolutely!"
Despite the impressive nature of her victory, Dubois, who is believed to have set her sights on domestic 135lbs rival Terri Harper, felt that there was still undoubted room for improvement.
"I'd probably give myself a B, there were things I could have done better," she added.
"I'm learning all of the time, I am enjoying my work and it was an honour to fight out here in the United States."
