Canada welcome Bosnia-Herzegovina to the Toronto Stadium in just the third game at the 2026 World Cup.
From red cards to second half comebacks, the opening two fixtures of the major tournament did not fail to disappoint as Mexico and South Korea emerged victorious.
Canada have failed to surpass the group stage in their only two appearances at the World Cup, failing to record a single point in a group alongside Morocco, Croatia and Belgium in 2022.
Bosnia qualified for just their second World Cup when defeating Italy on penalties in the play-off final in March, and victory over Canada would put them in a strong position to make the round of 32 ahead of fixtures against Qatar and Switzerland.
Canada prepared for their World Cup campaign with a friendly match against Ireland on Saturday 6th June, and there's an overarching sense that Jesse Marsch may opt for an unchanged XI against Bosnia.
A notable absence in the Canada starting XI will see captain Alphonso Davies miss out, but star striker Jonathan David, who recorded 10 goal contributions in his debut Serie A campaign with Italian giants Juventus, will lead the line.
Newly-promoted Hull City winger Liam Millar is expected to provide the width, as should Villarreal wide man Tajon Buchanan.
Reigning Scottish Premiership champion Alistair Johnston is set to start at right-back, while defensive duo Luc de Fougerolles and Derek Cornelius could be trusted to protect goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau.
Bosnia's all-time top goalscorer, Edin Dzeko, is a doubt and could prove a huge miss for Sergej Barbarez's side. In the event that the former Man City man is sidelined, Ermedin Demirovic and Samed Bazdar are expected to form a front two.
The experienced Sead Kolašinac could be in line to retain his place in the team after starting his nation's 1-1 draw against Panama last time out, while regular starter Ivan Basic could be partnered by Benjamin Tahirovi in the engine room.
