Burton Albion are reportedly set to complete the loan signing of Brighton & Hove Albion forward Mark O'Mahony.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that the deal is edging closer and the loan move should be confirmed before the 11pm deadline.
The Republic of Ireland Under 21 international is down the pecking order for Fabian Hurzeler's side and the move will provide him with the chance to play regular first-team football.
O'Mahony has only made four first team appearances for Brighton and it is likely that his long-term future will lie elsewhere.
The 21-year-old had time out on loan at Portsmouth in the Championship in 2024/25, scoring three goals in 13 appearances.
A loan move followed to Reading in League One last season but he failed to register a league goal in 16 matches.
Burton will be hoping that he can find his best goalscoring form as they look to avoid a relegation battle this season.
