Check out Adam Catterall's latest tips and predictions for the flyweight showdown between top contenders Brandon Royval and Lone'er Kavanagh at UFC 329 on Saturday night.
Lone'er Kavanagh to win in Round 3 - 12/1
Lone'er Kavanagh will look to claim another statement victory this weekend when he takes on Brandon Royval on the UFC 329 main card in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Royval has been one of the top contenders in the world at UFC 125lbs since signing with the promotion in more than six years ago, and earned a shot at the title in 2023 but was beaten by Alexandre Pantoja.
In October 2024 Royval battled current flyweight champion Joshua Van in an instant classic, but ultimately found himself on the wrong side of the decision before being KO'd in his most recent outing when he faced Manel Kape late last year.
Kavanagh meanwhile is coming off the biggest win of his career to date after outpointing two-time former champion Brandon Moreno, and MMA expert Adam Catterall insists he has what it takes to make it two wins in a row this weekend.
"I think this is a real coming out party for Lone'er Kavanagh," Catterall said on bet365 Cageside.
"Don't get me wrong Brandon Royval is brilliant and I've watched him on several occasions have some sensational fights, one of which was against the current champion in Joshua Van.
"That is one of my favourite flyweight fights of all time, and I think we might get something equally as entertaining in this.
"We've got two guys that are just absolutely brilliant at striking. I just think the younger, fresher fella is going to come through in this particular fight and he might even land a stoppage here.
"I'm going to tip Lone'er Kavanagh to stop Brandon Royval in round three after ten minutes of a real back-and-forth tussel. Ten minutes of sensational striking where Lone'er looks like he's in trouble then Brandon looks like he's in trouble.
"But I just think the younger, fresher guy will rise in the last five minutes of this fight to deliver a moment that really cements him as the next contender."
