Bolton Wanderers are reportedly interested in securing a loan move for goalkeeper James Beadle from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Beadle spent last season out on loan at Birmingham City and he made 35 Championship appearances for the club.
He has also had spells at Crewe Alexandra, Oxford United and Sheffield Wednesday in recent seasons to gain valuable first-team experience.
The 21-year-old has already made 135 appearances in his senior career and he will be looking for regular gametime in the upcoming season.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that Bolton are interested in providing that opportunity for the Brighton 'keeper.
Beadle has played 16 times for England's Under 21s and he was part of the team that won the European Under 21 Championship in 2025.
Despite the success of his early career, Beadle has never made a first team appearance for the Seagulls.
Brighton have Bart Verbruggen, Jason Steele and Carl Rushworth at their disposal for next season, although the latter has been heavily linked with another stint at Coventry City.
He is unlikely to break into the first-team in the short-term but the fact that Brighton are looking at another loan suggests that there could be a long-term future for him at the club.
Bolton are keen to add another goalkeeper to their ranks following their promotion from League One and Beadle appears to be a shrewd option given his recent experience in the Championship.
Steven Schumacher has the likes of Jack Bonham and David Harrington to call upon but Beadle would arrive as the new number one.
