The highest winning weight in the history of the Grand National is 12st 7lbs, with Cloister, Manifesto, Jerry M and Poethlyn all winning the race carrying the record weight.
Since Poethlyn's victory in the 1919 Grand National, only four horses have triumphed carrying 12st or more.
It is a record that is unlikely to be broken anytime soon as the maximum weight that a Grand National horse can currently carry is 11st 12lbs.
I Am Maximus carried the most weight of any Grand National winner in the 21st century when he won the 2026 race carrying 11st 12lbs.
