We take a look at the 10 most expensive signings made by Manuel Pellegrini.
With a list of clubs that includes Real Madrid and Manchester City, it should come as no surprise that Pellegrini has used signed a number of players for substantial money during his time as a manager.
The Chilean was in charge of the Citizens between 2013/14 and 2015/16, overseeing numerous big money deals, five of which feature in this top 10.
Despite a heavy City presence, it is a signing that he made at Real Madrid that tops the list.
Los Blancos had arguably the greatest transfer window of all-time in the summer of 2009 and the cherry on top was the €94m capture of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United. It was a move that never really looked like failing and it's safe to say it didn't; Ronaldo netting 450 times for the Spanish giants.
For most, that one signing would be enough, however for Madrid, nothing ever seems to be enough. Following Ronaldo through the doors of the Santiago Bernabeu were Kaka, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso, three of whom rank among Pellegrini's 10 most expensive signings, Alonso the one to just miss out.
Kevin De Bruyne made the switch from Wolfsburg to Manchester City for €76m in 2015 and he was part of another big Pellegrini summer where Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Otamendi also made moves to the Etihad.
The Chilean also splashed the cash when West Ham boss, picking up Sebastien Haller and Felipe Anderson for €50m and €38m respectively.
