Certainly as far as the Premier League goes, it's been a hugely extravagant summer, with four players going for more than £100m, while Sandro Tonali's move to Tottenham could set Spurs back £100m after add-ons.

Enzo Fernandez tied the British transfer record with his deadline-day move to Manchester City, with Morgan Rogers joining Chelsea, Elliot Anderson moving to City and Bradley Barcola moving to Liverpool for nine-figure sums.

Only one non-Premier League move cracks the top 10 over the summer, with Yan Diomande's move to Real Madrid the fifth-most expensive of the summer.

Four of the top 10 moves involved Manchester City while three involved Tottenham, who spent more than £300m in this window and that's excluding the deal involving Omar Marmoush, whose move will be made permanent next summer.
