Best FPL gameweek 6 Wildcard team including Haaland, Saka & Rogers

The Fantasy Premier League gameweek 6 deadline is nearing and a number of managers are toying with the idea of activating the Wildcard chip.

The Wildcard gives you the opportunity to make unlimited transfers to your squad, an undoubtedly tempting resolution for managers who own the likes of Alexander Isak, Cole Palmer and Cody Gakpo -- all of whom are doubts to feature in gameweek 6.

We've put together a team that covers all areas if you're triggering the Wildcard chip ahead of the FPL gameweek 6 deadline.

Premier League

Goalkeepers

Bernd Leno - FUL (£4.5m)

Fulham have had a difficult start to the season, facing Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United in the first five gameweeks, but they face the three newly promoted sides in the next three gameweeks and goalkeeper Bernd Leno looks good value for some clean sheets.

Jason Steele - BHA (£4.0m)

Fulham’s favourable run of fixtures means that Leno should suffice as your only starting goalkeeper, and so that’s why we’ve gone for Jason Steele as the budget option. If you feel as though you need two starting goalkeepers, there’s the option to free up £0.5m elsewhere in the team to fund Bart Verbruggen or Djordje Petrovic.

Defenders

Riccardo Calafiori - ARS (£5.9m)

Riccardo Calafiori feels like a must-have after an impressive start to the season, returning in three of Arsenal’s opening five fixtures -- including a double-digit haul against Aston Villa in gameweek 2.

Ezri Konsa - ARS (£4.6m)

The return of William Saliba could see Ezri Konsa’s game time diminish, but for now his minutes seem secure. £4.6m for a starting Arsenal defender is an offer that we can’t refuse.

Lewis Hall - NEW (£5.3m)

Only four defenders have recorded more points than Lewis Hall in the 2026/27 season. Having scored, assisted and reached the DEFCON threshold on three occasions, we can’t overlook the Newcastle left-back ahead of their reasonable run of games, which starts with a trip to Coventry City on Monday night.

Luka Vuskovic - BHA (£5.0m)

While Maxim De Cuyper has emerged as the more enticing option in the early stages of the term for his goal threat at left-wing, Luka Vuskovic has only recorded six points fewer than the Belgian and his constant DEFCON upside earns him a place in our team.

Tarik Muharemovic - LEE (£5.0m)

Only Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Liverpool have recorded a lower xGC (expected goals conceded) than Leeds United this season, and summer arrival Tarik Muharemovic deserves high praise for this. While cheaper Leeds alternatives, like Jayden Bogle and James Justin, have performed, the Bosnian’s DEFCON potential and aerial threat makes him the standout pick.

Midfielders

Bukayo Saka - ARS (£9.6m)

Bukayo Saka has come under scrutiny for a lack of productivity in recent years, but he’s enjoyed a fruitful start to the new term, scoring three times in five games. His set-piece duties add to his threat, and it’s surely only a matter of time before Gabriel starts getting on the end of the winger’s corners.

Morgan Gibbs-White - NFO (£8.0m)

Morgan Gibbs-White will have an extra spring in his step after receiving a late call-up to to the England national team. He’s blanked in all three games at the City Ground but returned on both occasions away from home, and so four of Nottingham Forest’s next six games taking place on the road makes encouraging reading for owners and those considering the £8m man on a Wildcard.

Morgan Rogers - CHE (£7.7m)

Cole Palmer is the standout Chelsea midfield pick due to his penalty kick responsibilities, but there’s so far no reason to suggest that he provides better value than teammate Morgan Rogers. The £7.8m midfielder has returned in all but one game this season and heads into gameweek 6 with a clean bill of health, while Cole Palmer remains a doubt.

Harvey Barnes - NEW (£6.1m)

Attention turned to Newcastle assets ahead of their St James’ Park encounter with Hull City, and Harvey Barnes didn’t disappoint owners. The 28-year-old winger recorded two assists inside the opening seven minutes -- adding to his goal and assist against Bournemouth in gameweek 3 -- and he looks set to be a steady source of points in the forthcoming gameweeks.

Josh King - FUL (£5.6M)

Pascal Gross v Josh King is one of the core discussions for those wildcarding in gameweek 6, and we’ve opted for the Fulham man. The £5.6m midfielder is a constant threat in the final third for Alvaro Arbeloa’s side, and he’ll be looking to reap the rewards of upcoming contests against lesser opposition.

Forwards

Erling Haaland - MCI (£15.6m)

While there is worry for Man City off the pitch after being found guilty of 114 charges out of the 115 brought upon them by the Premier League, it'd be naive to assume that this will diminish Erling Haaland's goalscoring ability. He has scored five goals in as many games this campaign and has shown no signs of slowing down after a productive international break, where he scored three goals in four fixtures.

Joao Pedro - CHE (£7.7m)

Joao Pedro missed Chelsea's gameweek 5 contest against Brentford due to injury, and therefore sat out of Brazil's international friendlies, but he was spotted arriving at Cobham on Thursday and could be in line to return against Brentford. If he is unavailable on Saturday, this gameweek 6 Wildcard squad boasts enough depth that you can afford to bench the Brazilian whilst he returns to full fitness.

Gonzalo Garcia - FUL (£6.0m)

While Fulham have endured a difficult start to the 2026/27 term, Gonzalo Garcia has shown glimpses of promise and should have more than the one goal that he has netted so far. The Spaniard will hope to add to his tally in contests against the newly promoted trio, and he could represent solid value at just £6m.
