The Austrian Bundesliga was formed ahead of the 1974/75 campaign whereby the two highest ranked domestic divisions were aligned together.
Since its reformation, Viennese giants Austria Wien and Rapid Wien established themselves as the dominant forces in the Austrian top-tier, although in more recent times Red Bull Salzburg have enjoyed more success than any other side.
They boast 17 league titles since 1994, however, it's SK Sturn Graz who are the reigning title-holders having reigned supreme in 2023/24.
