Brazil battled back from behind to defeat Australia in the second of two friendlies between the sides.
Prior to last week's friendly Australia had managed just a single goal against the Selecao across eight previous meetings, with the sole strike coming in a 1-0 win back in 2001.
Last Friday in Townsville however the Socceroos produced an impressive performance that saw them cruelly denied victory as Bournemouth forward Rayan equalised in stoppage time.
That performance will no doubt have given the hosts a shot of confidence heading into the second of two friendlies but they were quickly brought back down to earth when Vanderson opened the scoring after just three minutes.
The visitors could have made it two moments later but for an exceptional double save from Australia goalkeeper Patrick Beach.
Australia gradually grew into the early stages and were rewarded for the efforts on 28 minutes when defender Alessandro Circati flicked home from close range following a corner.
Tony Popovich's side continued to take charge after getting back on level terms and just minutes later they netted as second as Connor Metcalfe produced a curling effort from outside the penalty box.
Brazil were gifted a route back into the game on the brink of the interval when Harry Souttar took out Danilo in the penalty box.
VAR ultimately ruled in favour of the Selecao and Raphinha fired home from 12 yards before being replaced at half time.
Tensions threatened to boil over in a fiery second half, with both Endrick and Harry Souttar cautioned following a coming together that saw both teams become involved.
Australia remained defensively resolute but were ultimately undone by a touch of brilliance from Endrick whose low cross across the box Bruno Guimaraes on 69 minutes.
The Arsenal star has been in good form since returning from injury and netted to restore his side's lead.
From there it was plain sailing for Carlo Ancelotti's side. The visitors were awarded another penalty when Vinicius Jr was brought down inside the box and the Real Madrid star duly converted the subsequent spot kick to make it four.
