Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae.
Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport have reported that the South Korean international could be available during the January transfer window.
It is believed that an offer of around €25 million could be enough for Bayern to enter negotiations for the player.
Alongside Aston Villa, it is reported that the likes of AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring the player's situation.
The main stumbling block to a potential deal could be the player's salary, with Kim reportedly earning €7m a year in Munich.
The 29-year-old joined Bayern from Italian side Napoli for a fee of €58 million in July 2023.
He has made 121 appearances for the club but he has slipped down the pecking order for Vincent Kompany's side in recent times.
Kim is in the prime years of his career and his possible availability will have alerted Aston Villa manager Unai Emery.
The Spanish coach is overseeing the start of a new era at Villa Park and the opportunity to acquire a world-class defender will have grabbed his attention.
