Nottingham Forest have ended Ange Postecoglou's short spell in charge after a 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea.
Only appointed on 9th September, the Aussie boss failed to pick up a single victory during his eight match tenure with the final straw a dismal second half display against the Blues.
Forest wasted no time making the decision, announcing the sacking just minutes after the full-time whistle was blown.
His 39-day time in charge is the shortest managerial reign in Premier League history.
The former Tottenham boss oversaw zero wins, two draws and six defeats in all competitions.
Forest earned one Premier League point under Postecoglou, leaving them lingering ominously just one place above the relegation zone.
"Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect," read a statement posted on Forest's official X account.
"The Club will make no further comment at this time."
Postecoglou's departure means that Forest are already on the hunt for their third manager of the season after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked only three matches into the season.
The Portuguese boss guided Forest to their best Premier League finish in over three decades, earned a place in the Europa League and reached the semi-final of the FA Cup in 2024/25.
It remains to be seen who Forest will turn to in an attempt to steady the ship with Sean Dyche an early frontrunner.
The former Watford, Burnley and Everton boss has been out of action since the new year after he was replaced by David Moyes on Merseyside.
