The Brisbane Lions are chasing a record-equalling fourth successive title in the AFL when the season returns in 2027.
The Lions triumphed over Fremantle in the 2026 final, edging out the minor premiers in a tight 96-89 victory at the 'G.
Despite falling at the final hurdle last time out, the Dockers are fancied to have a strong chance at finally capturing a maiden AFL Grand Final win in 2027.
It is almost a century since Collingwood claimed four successive premierships from 1927 to 1930 during the VFL era; however, Brisbane will surely be among the contenders at the end of the upcoming campaign.
The Lions are the early-priced second favourites for the Grand Final in 2027, with the Dockers slightly shorter favourites at this stage.
Fremantle have played in two Grand Finals in their history, losing both in 2013 and 2026. The Dockers claimed the minor premiership title in the 2026 season, finishing top of the pile despite a late wobble which saw them lose two of their last three regular season games.
Hawthorn were beaten by eventual winners Brisbane in the preliminary final last campaign; the Hawks finished fourth in the standings in 2026 and are priced at third favourites for a 14th title in 2027.
