The Southern Hemisphere's premier club rugby competition returns in 2026, with clubs from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands competing for glory.

The Crusaders emerged victorious in 2025, defeating fellow New Zealand based side The Chiefs 16-12 in the Grand Final, despite the losing finalists finishing top of the league at the end of the regular season.

As Super Rugby's two newest members, Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika will be looking to continue to improve, with the former having finished seventh in last season's standings.

The Brumbies secured a third place finish in 2025 as the highest ranked Australian side, whilst losing finalists Chiefs finished at the top of the standings to earn their place as the top ranked New Zealand side last year.

Such has been the New Zealand based dominance of this competition in recent years, the last Australian team to win this competition were the Reds in 2011, a record that the Aussie teams will be keen to change.

Attention for all 11 sides will now turn to 2026 and earning their place in history.
