Luke Littler has been installed as the even-money favourite to reign supreme at the European Championship and complete his PDC ranking event clean sweep.
The world number one has won every major title up for grabs on the professional circuit, with the exception of the Dortmund-staged event.
In fact, the back-to-back World Darts Championship winner has never advanced beyond the last 16 of the competition, with his hopes of success 12 months ago crashing to a halt in the second round when James Wade sent him packing.
The Nuke will return to the fabled Westfalenhallen keen to rediscover his winning groove after being surprisingly dumped out of the World Grand Prix in the opening round last time out.
However, he will be wary of a stacked field as he attempts to make yet more PDC history, with the likes of Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, defending champion Gian van Veen and the in-form Ross Smith all hoping to get their hands on the silverware.
Odds will display when the market is available.
Unsurprisingly, despite his somewhat poor recent run of form, it's Littler who heads the pre-tournament betting having been installed as favourite.
The Warrington thrower is even-money to end his European Championship hoo-doo, with Humphries -- still searching for his first victory in the competition -- second in the betting.
The only other players aside from the two Lukes to possess single digit odds are Gerwyn Price and Van Veen having been priced up somewhat handsomely at 8/1 and 9/1.
2022 victor Smith, who won the World Series of Darts recently, will undoubtedly carry betting appeal at 22/1, whilst four-time winner Michael van Gerwen should garner interest at 33/1 despite his recent struggles.
