Punters up and down Britain will be trying to unpick the notoriously tricky bet365 Cambridgeshire ahead of this weekend's action from Newmarket.
Year after year the race attracts a hugely competitive field that regularly produces a big price winner and in the last 16 years has thrown up a 50/1 winner, three at 40/1 and two more at 20/1 or bigger.
28 have been declared for the latest renewal on Saturday, including one from the Karl Burke stable as he bids for a hat-trick of race wins. Burke saddled Boiling Point and Liberty Lane to success in 2025 & 2024 respectively and has again acquired the services of jockey Clifford Lee, who was onboard for both of those victories.
John Gosden is the winning-most trainer in the race's history with five winners beside his name. His first, Halling, came all the way back in 1994 and his latest, Lord North, recorded the fastest time in the history of the race when storming to success in 2019.
Now training in partnership with his son Thady, the duo have two fancied runners this year in Gavriel (4/1) and Harmonics (10/1).
Thunder Run (20/1) takes his chance for the hat-trick seeking partnership of Burke and Lee, but he will have to overcome a career-high mark of 107 after winning a competitive handicap at Doncaster last time out.
Although jockey Ryan Moore has so far drawn a blank in this contest, he rides Bourbon Blues (12/1) for trainer Brian Meehan who won this race with Spark Plug 10 years ago. He too won his most recent start at Doncaster but also has some really strong course form behind him from earlier in the season.
