Harry Skelton leads the race to win the UK National Hunt Jockeys Championship.
The 37-year-old was last crowned champion jockey in 2020/21, but has dropped slightly lower in the standings in more recent years.
Sean Bowen has been crowned champion in each of the last two years, firing in a mammoth total of 241 winners in 2025/26 - the most of any jump jockey since AP McCoy managed 258 in the early 2000s.
McCoy utterly dominated the championship throughout his career, winning 20 consecutive titles between 1995/96 and 2014/15.

Skelton's close relationship with his brother, Dan, will ensure that he has plenty of ammunition to fuel his title charge throughout the campaign.
Both trainer and jockey have already passed the century mark for winners and are still yet to get many of their quality horses to the track. The New Lion, Grey Dawning and Bossman Jack are just a few of the top-quality horses that Harry can look forward to riding at the big meetings.
Although already with a gap to bridge, Bowen will again have a huge year in the saddle. The Welshman's tally of 241 winners from last year will be tough to match, however, he is sure to give it a good crack and has already had more mounts than any other jump jockey this season.
On paper it looks like a bit of a two horse race; Gavin Sheehan, Harry Cobden and Sam Twiston-Davies are all a triple-figure price to win the championship and probably just don't have ample firepower to mount a challenge to the leading duo.
