With the Ryder Cup in the rearview, the PGA Tour’s inaugural FedEx Cup Fall returns from a two-week hiatus this week with the Sanderson Farms Championship from Jackson, Mississippi.
The FedEx Cup Fall series gives players who fell outside the top 50 in the 2023 FedEx Cup standings a chance to solidify their Tour status for the upcoming year.
As expected, many of the stars of the PGA Tour are not in the field for this tournament off the back of last weekend’s Ryder Cup in Rome, where Europe defeated the United States 16.5-11.5.
The one Ryder Cup participant that will be at the Country Club of Jackson this week – 23-year-old Ludvig Aberg – is the outright favorite to win at +1200. Aberg looks to be one of the game’s rising stars and will seek his first career win on the PGA Tour come this Sunday.
But golf expert Jason Sobel has his eyes elsewhere in the outright market – notably Stephan Jaeger (+1800) and Davis Riley (+4000).
Jason previews the Sanderson Farms Championship with two picks to win outright, including one longshot prediction, and a pick to finish top 10.
