This week we see the return of WBC super featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster as he faces off against Abraham Nova.

Foster is coming off a breakout year in 2023 whereby he beat Rey Vargas to capture the WBC super featherweight title before defending it in a fight of the year candidate against ‘Rocky’ Hernandez. 

Foster goes into this weekend’s bout a sizeable favorite at to win outright, while Abraham Nova is a long shot to spring the upset.

Nova is a very good fighter and he can punch a bit as well. He was stopped down at 126 pounds by Robeisy Ramirez, but now, up at 130 pounds, he’s looked good in his last couple of fights and goes into the bout against Foster full of confidence.

However, for me, I can only see this going one way, and that’s for Foster to retain his WBC super featherweight title. I do feel like Nova is tough, is durable, he was stopped by Robeisy Ramirez, who is a very sharp puncher and was able to get to Nova.

Nova does look like a different animal now that he’s back up at 130 pounds, but for me, my play this weekend will be Foster by decision or technical decision at -150. 

If you are looking to bet the underdog Abraham Nova, he is +550 to get the decision, or you can get a little bit extra value at +850 for him to win by KO or TKO.
