NFL Week 8 picks and predictions with Chad Millman

The Action Network’s Chief Content Officer Chad Millman gives his picks and analysis for the NFL Week 8 slate, including Same Game Parlay, Money Line parlay, and a Best Bet for the weekend.

Who takes the NFC North?

The Detroit Lions entered Week 7 with the joint-best record in the NFL and considered by some to be a Super Bowl contender.

Following a 38-6 loss against Baltimore, questions are being asked about Dan Campbell’s team.

Meanwhile, their division rival Minnesota Vikings have won three of four, including an upset win over the 49ers on Monday Night Football.

Could Minnesota (+550 to Win Division) overtake Detroit (-400 to Win Division) in the NFC North by season’s end? Two of the final three games of the regular season come against each other.

Love train

While the Vikings and Lions will wait another two months to face off, Minnesota matches up another division foe in Week 8 – the Green Bay Packers.

It’s been an October to forget so far for Packers QB Jordan Love. In three games since Green Bay’s Week 2 win over the Saints, Love has thrown six picks and been sacked seven times.

But brighter days could be ahead for the first-year signal-caller.

Chad likes Love and the Packers to rebound at home on Sunday.

Chad’s Same Game Parlay: Packers 20+ Points, J. Love 200+ pass yards, C. Watson Anytime TD

Who wins in Week 8?

Along with the Packers (-110 ML), Chad likes two slight underdogs to win outright in Week 8.

The Giants (+130 ML) take on the Jets in the battle of New York in search of their second-straight win, while the Steelers (+125 ML), fresh off a comeback win against the Rams, host the red-hot Jaguars.

All three selections will play out during the 1 PM ET slate on Sunday.

Chad’s Money Line Parlay: Packers ML, Giants ML, Steelers ML

Chad’s Best Bet

Few defenses have shone more than the Cowboys this season.

Dallas ranks fourth in points allowed per game (16.7) and third in pass yards allowed per game (177). In two home games this year, they have outscored opponents 68-13.

In Week 8, they host an inconsistent Rams team without its starting running back Kyren Williams.

Chad likes the Cowboys, coming off their bye, to cover against the Rams when the two meet in Arlington this Sunday at 1 PM ET.

Chad’s Best Bet: Cowboys -6.5
