The top 50 ranked players in the FedEx Cup standings travel to Olympia Fields, Illinois for the BMW Championship this week, the penultimate event of the PGA Tour season and second of three playoff events.
Golf expert Jason Sobel has his tips and predictions set for one of the biggest PGA Tour events of the year.
Back-to-back BMW champion Patrick Cantlay (+1000 to Win Outright) is one name to keep an eye on. Currently ranked fifth in the FedEx Cup standings, Cantlay came second in last week’s St. Jude Championship, falling to champion Lucas Glover after one playoff hole.
Glover, a +4500 shot to win at Olympia Fields, jumped from 49th to fourth in the FedEx Cup standings following his win, overtaking Cantlay in the process. The 43-year-old is red-hot right now having won the Wydnham Championship at Sedgefield before claiming the title last Sunday at TPC Southwind.
Tommy Fleetwood (+2000 to Win Outright) looks to be due, as the 32-year-old has done everything but lift a trophy this PGA Tour season. The Southport, England native has eight top-10s on the year, five of which have come in his last six outings.
