The Jets took full advantage of their home ice by capturing the first two games of this series and now the pressure is on the Blues to do the same. St. Louis went 24-14-3 at home during the regular season, averaging 3.22 goals per game in those contests as opposed to 2.66 per game on the road. In fact, its last home loss came way back on Feb. 22 against Winnipeg, the first game after the 4-Nations Face-Off.

St. Louis has scored just once at 5-on-5 through the first two games of the series, while the Jets have five tallies at 5-on-5. Only Winnipeg’s backup goalies and non-staking players took part in Tuesday’s optional skate, and the Blues took the day off entirely due to the intense physical nature of this series. Both teams should benefit from the extra day off, having last taken the ice on Monday in Game 2.

The Jets now have -1100 odds (91.67% implied odds) to win the series heading into what should be a very close Game 3.
