Minnesota Wild vs. Vegas Golden Knights Game 5 pick and predictions

The Golden Knights are massive -230 home favorites on the moneyline in Game 5 on Tuesday night after their thrilling 4-3 overtime victory in Game 4 to even the series at two games apiece.

Ivan Barbashev broke the deadlock 17:26 into the overtime period to snatch away a critical home win from the Wild and help keep the Knights’ home advantage in the series. Vegas was spectacular on home ice during the regular season, posting a 29-9-3 record at T-Mobile Arena, which included a home win over Minnesota. With home advantage still intact, Vegas has short -260 odds to win the now best-of-three series (+210 for the Wild).

There are several intriguing trends from a player props perspective to consider ahead of Game 5. Wild forward, Marcus Foligno, has scored in three consecutive games, and is a long +900 to extend that goal-scoring streak. There’s also considerable value at +165 on Wild forward Ryan Hartman to extend his points streak to five straight games. Linemates Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy have also dominated this series offensively for the Wild, combining to score eight goals while recording a total of six assists.

While every game in this series has played over the 5.5-goal total, bettors should expect things to tighten up defensively in this critical Game 5 on Tuesday.

Pick: Under 5.5 goals (+105)
