Following this week's blockbuster trade that sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, we take a look at when the five-time All-NBA selection will make his debut in purple and gold.
Doncic (calf) is expected to make his Lakers debut on Monday, February 10 at home against Utah Jazz. The contest will start at 10:30 PM ET and air on NBA League Pass.
Reports suggested Doncic would make his debut on Saturday, February 8 against the Indiana Pacers, but Lakers head coach J.J. Redick told reporters said it will come "more likely on Monday" before his team's 120-112 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
Redick commented that Doncic has suffered no setbacks in his recovery as he nears his return to the court.
Doncic was unveiled as a Lakers player on Tuesday this week, taking part in an introductory press conference alongside Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka. Later that night, he joined the Lakers' bench during their win over the Los Angeles Clippers, and was again on the bench during the Lakers' victory over Golden State.
