Washington Commanders Odds: +120 to win NFC East after acquiring Marshon Lattimore

The Washington Commanders are 7-2 and lead the NFC East, and they acquired four-time Pro Bowl CB Marshon Lattimore to boost their hopes of a deep playoff run.

Lattimore hasn't made the Pro Bowl since 2021, his last season in which he played at least 11 games, but he has 15 career interceptions and he defended eight passes in 10 games last season.

The eight-year veteran will help the Commanders secondary, which ranks 27th out of 32 teams in interceptions made (three) and 20th in passing TDs allowed (14).

As a result of getting Lattimore, Washington is now +120 to win the NFC East, putting them just behind the Philadelphia Eagles who have a 6-2 record and -140 odds to win the division.

In the outright market, Washington is +2200 - the 10th-shortest odds - to go all the way for its first championship since 1991.

The Ohio State product won Defensive Rookie of the Year back in 2017 when he made five interceptions including a pick-six, defended 18 passes, forced a fumble and had 43 solo tackles. In 97 career games, he has held opponents to a completion percentage under 65 percent, has defended 88 passes, and has never missed more than 10 tackles in a single season.

Lattimore will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in his first game of the season and will likely line up across from wide receiver George Pickens. He and the Commanders play the Eagles the following week, and he'll likely be tasked with guarding AJ Brown or DeVonta Smith.
