Rusty Gorelick
The new-look, No. 25 Rutgers Scarlet Knights begin their 2024/25 campaign by hosting the unranked Wagner Seahawks.
Rutgers head coach Steve Pikiell brought in two top-five recruits, Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper. Bailey is a 6-foot-8 wing with premier athleticism and a well-rounded skill set, while Harper is big combo guard at 6-foot-6 who can stuff the stat sheet.
As a result of their big offseason, the Scarlet Knights enter the season as +800 fifth-favorites to win the Big Ten. Plus, they are +4000to win the National Championship, which are the joint-14th shortest odds alongside Purdue, Creighton and St. John's.
Wagner went 17-16 last season and won a play-in game against Howard to enter the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but they fell to No. 1 seed North Carolina.
