Vergil Ortiz Jr. record

Ortiz goes into this bout with a perfect 21-0 record and all of his victories have come via knockout.

The Texas native enjoyed an impressive amateur career and won Silver in the Golden Gloves in 2016 before making his professional debut with a first-round win over Julio Rodas the same year.

Within the space of 12 months, Ortiz had a 6-0 record and only one of his fights had reached the second round as he quickly established himself as a heavy hitter.

In September of 2017 he faced Cesar Valenzuela on the undercard of the first Canelo vs Gennady Golovkin clash and he made a statement with a second-round stoppage. The following year he faced Roberto Ortiz on the undercard of the rematch between Canelo and GGG and scored another second-round stoppage giving him a 12-0 record, and none of his fights had gone beyond the third round.

He overcame Antonio Orozco with a sixth-round TKO to win the vacant WBA Gold welterweight title on August 10, 2019, in a hometown bout in Grand Prairie, Texas, and then defended that title against Brad Solomon followed by former world title challenger Samuel Vargas.

Ortiz has since picked up victories over Maurice Hooker, Egidijus Kavaliauskas, Michael McKinson and Thomas Dulorme. The 26-year-old was due to face Tim Tszyu in August but the Australian was forced to pull out, meaning he will take on Bohachuk instead.

Serhii Bohachuk record

Bohachuk goes into the fight with a professional boxing record of 24-1, with 23 of his victories coming inside the distance.

Bohachuk made his debut in 2017 with a second-round KO win over Matt Murphy in Los Angeles.

The Ukrainian put together a 15-0 record, winning all of those bouts inside the distance, before facing the 28-7-2 Tyrone Brunson for the vacant WBC Continental Americas super-welterweight belt. Bohachuk scored three knockdowns in a fourth-round TKO win.

The southpaw added more wins to his record before suffering a first defeat, losing via an eighth-round TKO to Brandon Adams in 2021, but he responded well and would reclaim the WBC Continental Americas belt by stopping Aaron Coley the following year.

Bohachuk was taken the distance for the first time in his career last time out as he claimed the WBC Interim World Super Welterweight title via unanimous decision over Brian Mendoza.
