USC vs. LSU: How to watch, TV channel, streaming, start time and stats

Week 1 of the 2024 College Football season brings us a rare Sunday night game, featuring ranked teams USC and LSU facing off at a neutral venue.

The USC Trojans - who joined the Big Ten ahead of this season - are ranked 23rd in the preseason AP Poll, and the LSU Tigers are ranked 13th.

USC lost starting QB and 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams to the NFL this offseason, but new QB Miller Moss impressed when leading the team to a bowl game win over Louisville to end last season.

LSU lost 2023 Heisman Trophy-winning QB Jayden Daniels to the NFL, too, but like the Trojans and Moss, new starter Garrett Nussmeier put in an encouraging performance in LSU's bowl game loss to Wisconsin last season.

USC vs. LSU will be broadcast on ABC, which can be viewed through linear or cable TV as well as with live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.

The game will also be available to stream on ESPN+.

USC vs. LSU is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM ET/6:30 PM CT/5:30 PM MT/4:30 PM PT on Sunday, September 1 with the game taking place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

• USC ranked third in Division I FBS football with 41.8 points scored per game, and their defense ranked 121st out of 133 teams by allowing 34.4 points per game.
• LSU led the nation in points per game with 45.5 last season, and they were 82nd with 28 points allowed per game.
• WR Zachariah Branch was USC's third-leading receiver last season with 31 catches for 320 yards and two TDs.
• LSU linebacker Harold Perkins led the team with 13.0 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks, and he had one interception, five passes defended and three forced fumbles.
• USC boosted its defense as it moves to the Big Ten, and linebacker transfer Easton Mascarenas-Arnold arrived from Oregon State after he posted 4.0 sacks, 13.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions and 159 total tackles over three years there.
• LSU WR Kyren Lacy caught 30 passes for 558 yards and seven TDs in 2023.
• Nate Clifton, who transferred to USC from Vanderbilt, had 5.5 sacks last season and one interception.
• LSU safety Major Burns had a pick-six, three passes defended, one sack, three tackles for loss and led the team with 93 total tackles in 2023.
