USA Men's Basketball: Olympics roster, schedule, odds & more

The United States Men's Basketball team is bringing a loaded roster to the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics in the hopes of avenging the team's fourth-place finish at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Point guard Tyrese Haliburton and shooting guard Anthony Edwards are the only players from the World Cup team to be selected to the Olympics team, although Jalen Brunson would have been in contention had he not suffered a broken hand in his team's final game of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

Team USA won gold at the last Summer Olympics, and five players from that team - Bam Adebayo, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Jrue Holiday and Jayson Tatum - were selected to the 2024 team.

Two-time gold medalist LeBron James returns to the team, and two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry will make his Olympics debut after pulling out of contention for the 2016 team due to injuries.

Cameroonian-born Joel Embiid, who moved to the USA as a teenager to pursue basketball, has been called up to Team USA for the first time. He had been eligible to play for Cameroon, France, and as of when he acquired citizenship in September 2023, the United States.

Team USA Men's Basketball 2024 Summer Olympics coach

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr will coach Team USA at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Kerr is a four-time NBA Champion as a coach and a five-time champion as a player. He took over for Gregg Popovich, who Kerr worked under as an assistant at the last Summer Olympics, which took place in Japan.

Kerr's top assistants will be Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra and Gonzaga University men's basketball head coach Mark Few.

Team USA Men's Basketball 2024 Summer Olympics group

Team USA will be joined by Serbia, South Sudan and Puerto Rico in Group C.

Three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic is Serbia's best player, New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado leads Puerto Rico, and South Sudan's Khaman Maluach, the No. 4 recruit in the class of 2024 who will play for Duke in the upcoming college basketball season, will get to show his abilities to an international audience.
