The United States Men's National Team will send a squad of predominantly under-23 players to compete in the Olympics this summer, the first time the US men have appeared in the competition since 2008.
The 2008 Olympic team featured players who would become future senior USMNT and MLS regulars, including Michael Bradley, Brad Guzan, Dax McCarty, Charlie Davies, Stuart Holden, Jozy Altidore and Sacha Kljestan.
Two of the three overage players in 2008 were just one year older than the age limit of 23, while then-36-year-old Brian McBride was the team's captain and lone elder statesmen.
Let's take a look at the squad, schedule and more for the United States Men's National Team in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
Olympic team head coach Marko Mitrovic called up 25 players for warm-up friendly matches before the Olympics. Mitrovic will cut the squad to 18 players after the friendlies and before the Olympics begin.

Players born on or after January 1, 2001 are eligible to be called up to Olympic men's soccer team rosters. Teams are allowed to call up three overage players, but US Olympic coach Marko Mitrovic only called up one in center back Walker Zimmerman.
Marko Mitrovic is the head coach of the United States men's soccer team for the 2024 Olympics. His 15-year professional career began when he graduated from the academy of Red Star Belgrade, his hometown team in Serbia.
Mitrovic spent his playing career in Eastern Europe, playing for teams in Serbia, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Azerbaijan. He started his coaching career in Serbia, eventually getting a job with the youth national team before moving to the United States in 2016.
In 2016, Mitrovic took a job as an assistant coach for the Chicago Fire under the team's head coach Veljko Paunovic. Mitrovic stayed there until 2019, when he moved with Paunovic, who became head coach of Reading FC in England that year.
Mitrovic had a four-day, two-game spell in charge of Reading as an interim manager, and he won one of those games and lost the other. He got a job as the head coach of the United States under-19 team in 2022, which then led to him being named the US Olympic team coach in September 2023.
