Sean O'Malley: Age, Height, Weight, Net Worth, Record, Next Fight

Everything you need to know about American UFC fighter Sean O'Malley, including age, height, weight, net worth, record, and next fight.

Sean O'Malley record

O'Malley holds an impressive record of 18-1 as an MMA fighter, while he also has a no-contest on his record.

He started his career in MMA in 2015, fighting on an Intense Championship Fighting show in Montana. He beat Josh Reyes on his debut before racking up five wins as part of their promotion.

In 2017, his performances started to grab the headlines and wins at EB: Beatdown 20 and Legacy Fighting Alliance 11, ensured he was selected for Dana White's Contender Series 2 later that year.

O'Malley stopped Alfred Khashakyan during that series, earning him a shot in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter, where he beat Terrion Ware in Las Vegas, earning himself a contract in the UFC.

During his first appearance on an UFC Show, O'Malley's bout with Andre Soukhamthath won "Fight of the Night" at UFC 222 in March 2018, and he has won that award three times in total since signing his contract with the UFC.

He has also won the "Performance of the Night" award five times, while he was crowned the UFC Bantamweight champion in August 2013 after a victory over Aljamain Sterling.

O'Malley has built a solid foundation in the UFC since signing with the company, but it has not been plain sailing for the 29-year-old.

He was stopped by Marlon Vera at UFC 252 in the first round, while his no-contest result came against Pedro Munhoz after an accidental eye poke from O'Malley meant that Munhoz could not continue with the fight.

Since that no-contest, O'Malley has rattled off three-straight wins, including for the bantamweight title at UFC 292 against Aljamain Sterling, then over Marlon "Chito" Vera at UFC 299, a rematch of his sole professional loss.

Sean O'Malley Next Fight

Sean O'Malley's next fight is to be determined, although the 29-year-old called out featherweight champion Ilia Topuria immediately following his win at UFC 299.

Another name floated out as O'Malley's next foe is bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili.

Sean O'Malley Last Fight

"Suga" got his revenge on Marlon "Chito" Vera at UFC 299, defeating the only fighter to put a loss on his record via unanimous decision. With the win, O'Malley retained the bantamweight title.

O'Malley is 5-foot-11 and weighs 135 pounds. He has a 72-inch reach and has competed in two weight divisions.

Having started his career as a Bantamweight, O'Malley switched to Flyweight in 2015 when fighting under the Intense Championship Fighting banner.

His spell at Flyweight lasted just one fight, and he has since fought back at Bantamweight.
