UEFA Champions League: How to watch, TV channel, streaming in the United States

The league phase of the UEFA Champions League kicks off in September, and we have all you need to know about how to watch it in the United States.

How to watch the UEFA Champions League in the United States

TV Channel

CBS, which can be viewed through linear or cable TV and with live TV streaming apps, is the home for English-language UEFA Champions League broadcasts in the United States. CBS usually broadcasts one match per matchday during the competition.

For Spanish-language broadcasts, fans can watch the UEFA Champions League on Univision or its subsidiary channel, TUDN. Univision broadcasts at least one match per matchday on either its namesake channel or on TUDN.

Streaming

Fans can watch English-language broadcasts of every UEFA Champions League game on the streaming service Paramount+. Fans can also stream games through live TV streaming apps like YouTubeTV or FuboTV.

For broadcasts in Spanish, fans located in the United States can stream them on Univision's website or through live TV streaming apps like YouTubeTV or FuboTV.

UEFA Champions League broadcast team

CBS runs a studio show around UEFA Champions League matches, and the network provides its own match commentary teams for most games.

The studio show is hosted by Kate Abdo. Two of the pundits are UEFA Champions League-winning former players in Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher, and they're joined by former Manchester City defender Micah Richards on the panel.

CBS' play-by-play commentators are Clive Tyldesley, Andres Cordero, Chris Wyttingham and Pien Meulensteen. The network's color analysts are Rob Green, Ray Hudson, Jim Beglin, Matteo Bonetti, Mike Grella and Karen Carney.

UEFA Champions League broadcast rights in the United States

CBS holds the United States broadcast rights for the UEFA Champions League until 2030.

The deal was initially supposed to begin in the 2021/22 season, but the pandemic saw former broadcast partner Turner Sports cede the rights to CBS in 2020. The competition and CBS announced in 2022 that the partnership would be extended until 2030.

Univision owns the Spanish-language broadcast rights for the UEFA Champions League. The partnership began in the 2018/19 season and in 2023, it was announced that the deal was extended through 2027.
