Following the draw, he won his next seven matches between 2020 and 2022. That included a win over Erickson Lubin on April 9, 2022, to win the WBC interim light middleweight title.

Fundora made a successful defense of the title against Carlos Ocampos on October 8, 2022, which he won via unanimous decision after 12 rounds.

He lost his most recent match to Brian Mendoza via seventh-round knockout on April 9, 2023, losing the interim title.
