The Tulane Green Wave (9-4) were a top-10 scoring offense in all of Division I College Football, and they head to Tampa to take on the Florida Gators (7-5) in their home state.
Tulane will be without star QB Darian Mensah, who entered the transfer portal and subsequently committed to Duke after the regular season. Green Wave head coach Jon Sumrall will have to cope without its signal-caller, but the team should be motivated after losing 35-14 to Army in the American Athletic Conference Championship.
Florida had struggled early in the season as it faced the sixth-toughest schedule this season, but head coach Billy Napier decided to start DJ Lagway under center and the team improved enough to win consecutive games over then-No. 21 LSU, then-No. 9 Ole Miss and Florida State to end the season.
Tulane vs. Florida in the Gasparilla Bowl will be broadcast on ESPN2, which can be viewed through cable TV or streamed via live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.
Tulane vs. Florida is scheduled to start at 3:30 PM ET/2:30 PM CT on Friday, December 20 with the game taking place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
