Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter scored three receiving touchdowns to lead his team to a 31-26 season-opening win over North Dakota State.
Hunter entered the season at +5000 to win the Heisman Trophy, but his performance against NDSU saw his odds move to +2000.
Now, Hunter is level with Notre Dame QB Riley Leonard for the tenth-shortest odds to win the Heisman.
He also now has the shortest odds of any non-QB.
Against North Dakota State, Hunter caught seven passes for 132 yards and three TDs, and on defense, he made three solo tackles. He also played over 100 snaps.
Colorado has a difficult schedule this season. A trip to Nebraska is coming up in Week 2 before the team plays five teams ranked in the preseason AP Poll in its last seven games of the campaign.
If Hunter consistently makes plays on both sides of the ball and stays healthy for the full season, his Heisman odds should only continue to shorten.
