Two 4-2 teams currently on fire will square off against one another in a Thursday night matchup in primetime: the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears.
New England has won three in a row and quarterback Drake Maye has fully recovered from his early season woes. In his last three games, Maye has thrown for 878 yards, 10 touchdowns, and just one interception, leading the Pats to a 3-0 record in that span. In his first three games, the 24-year-old had one touchdown pass and six interceptions.
Patriots receiver AJ Brown is now healthy after he missed weeks two-through-five with a high ankle injury, though his production in the two games he has played in has been lackluster. Instead, Romeo Doubs and DeMario "Pop" Douglas have three touchdown receptions each and lead the team in receiving yards. Rhamondre Stevenson and Maye have two rushing touchdowns each, with TreVeyon Henderson and Corey Kiner have also scored on the ground.
The Bears have also won four of their first six games, even with quarterback Caleb Williams missing three games. Chicago went 2-1 in that span, showing that the running game, defense, and elite playcalling from head coach Ben Johnson are all proficient enough to win games without stellar play at QB.
When the QB is stellar, they almost feel impossible to stop. In his first game back last week versus the Atlanta Falcons, Williams was 30-36 through the air, throwing for 305 yards and a touchdown. He was calm and comfortable in the pocket, hitting the bullseye on almost every throw.
D'Andre Swift leads the team with six touchdowns, while Kyle Monangai has three. Through the air, five receivers have each scored one touchdown: Luther Burden III, Kalif Raymond, Colston Loveland, Cole Kmet, and Jahdae Walker.
The game should feature plenty of touchdowns between these two explosive offenses. Below is a look at the odds for touchdown scorers in this week's Thursday night matchup, including anytime TD, first TD, multiple TDs, and passing TDs.
