Tottenham relieved manager Ange Postecoglou from his duties on Friday, less than three weeks after he led the club to its first major trophy in 17 years by defeating Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final.
Although Tottenham's 2024/25 campaign ended with silverware, it was a historically poor showing in the English Premier League for Spurs, who finished 17th, just one spot ahead of relegation.
Tottenham's league position (17th), points tally (38) and number of defeats (22) are each the worst in the club's domestic league history dating back to the mid-1970s.
Still, Tottenham will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after qualifying automatically through winning the Europa League.
Who will be the man in charge at Spurs when they open their 2025/26 season?
Thomas Frank | -350 |
Marco Silva | +500 |
Xavi Hernandez | +1400 |
Oliver Glasner | +2000 |
Carlos Coberan | +2000 |
Andoni Iraola | +2000 |
Mauricio Pochettino | +2500 |
Brentford manager Thomas Frank is the -350 favorite to be Tottenham's next manager.
Frank, a Danish international, has managed Brentford since October 2018. He led the Bees to promotion from the Championship to the Premier League in his third season, and has since established the club as a Premier League mainstay, including two top-10 finishes in the last three seasons.
Known as a positive, innovative thinker and effective communicator that routinely gets the best out of his teams, Frank looks the most likely candidate to take the Spurs post and lead the North London club in the UEFA Champions League in 2025/26.
Fulham manager Marco Silva is second-favorite to land the Spurs job at +500.
After managing Premier League sides Hull City, Watford and Everton between 2017 and 2021, Silva took the Fulham job ahead of the 2021/22 season, in which the Cottagers would play in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League.
In his first season with the club, Fulham won the league title and earned automatic promotion back into the Premier League. In three seasons since, Fulham has finished 10th, 13th and 11th in the PL, including a club-record 54 points tally in 2024/25.
Former Barcelona manager and all-time great central midfielder Xavi Hernandez (+1400) is third in the betting to join Tottenham.
Xavi, a World Cup and Euros winner with Spain and four-time UEFA Champions League winner with Barcelona as a player, last managed Barcelona in 2024, where he won the 2022/23 La Liga title as manager.
Crystal Palace manager and 2025 FA Cup winner Oliver Glasner, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, and Valencia manager Carlos Coberan are all +2000 to become Spurs' new manager.
U.S. men's national team head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who managed Tottenham from 2014 to 2019, is a +2500 shot to return to North London.
