Necaxa and Tigres UANL meet in the second leg of the Liga MX Clausura quarterfinals after the teams played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg.
The winner of this two-legged tie will face the winner of Toluca and Monterrey in the semifinals.
As the 4th-place team, Tigres will host the second leg, and can advance to the semifinals with a win or draw over two legs. Necaxa, the 5th-place finishers, hosted the first leg and must win the aggregate tie to advance.
The two sides met once in Liga MX Clausura on March 1, a 2-1 victory for Tigres at Estadio Victoria, the home of Necaxa and the site of this week’s first leg.
Tigres also emerged victorious in both games against Necaxa in 2024, 5-2 in April and 1-0 in July. Necaxa’s last win over Tigres came in April 2022.
These two sides last met in the playoff stage in the 2022 Apertura Round of 16.

Tigres vs. Necaxa will kick off at 11:10 PM ET/10:10 PM CT/8:10 PM PT on Sunday, May 11th from Estadio Universitario in San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico.
